How to cook and serve gnocchi

1. Bring water to a boil
Use a large pot of well-salted water, about 1 tablespoon of salt per 4 quarts.

2. Add gnocchi straight from the freezer
No need to thaw. Drop them directly into the boiling water.

3. Wait for them to float
Gnocchi will sink at first, then rise to the surface.
Let them continue boiling for 1–2 more minutes after they float, for a total cook time of 3–4 minutes.

4. Drain and finish
Use a slotted spoon or drain gently.
Toss with your favorite sauce, brown butter and sage, or just olive oil and Parmesan.
